Enquirer

Enquirer accounts are great for rescues who find lost animals and/or have lost animals brought to them by the public. Enquirers can immediately contact the guardian and reunite them with their pet.

To be a NZCAR Enquirer user, you will need to own a microchip scanner in order to scan and find the animals microchip number. You can find more about purchasing microchip scanners here.

If you think an Enquirer account would help you to facilitate the return of lost animals to their proper guardian, please complete our Enquirer application form and forward it through to [email protected].

A Ministry of Justice check may also be required. Once all information has been collated, your full application will then be reviewed and references contacted. Applications are under the ultimate oversight of the Companion Animals NZ Board. There may be several weeks’ delay before you are notified of the outcome of your application.
